Well, I decided to join the blogging world. I have enjoyed reading other friend's blogs and seeing their ideas, thoughts, and lives. Plus, it's a fun way to keep a record of some of the happenings in our own lives and share it with family and friends who we don't get to see every day. Also, Mark has to be a sounding board for probably way too many of my thoughts and opinions, so now I have a nice outlet for some of that (although I'll probably still keep telling him. He is a good listener). :-)
Here's a summary of the past 6 months:
We got engaged on Christmas Day...
Then we (somewhat crazily) decided to plan a wedding in 3 months. So on March 13th we got married!
Went on a honeymoon to San Francisco...
Got home, unpacked, and decided to knock out a wall in the kitchen...
The kitchen is still up in the air We don't exactly have a plan, but we have lots of ideas! Like this:
And this...
But we're still at this:
And in the middle of all of this fun, my sister Laura got married! It was a cozy wedding on a porch because of the rain, but I thought it was perfect.
And then my other sister Alison had a baby. Sweet Drew. I love him.
He came to visit me this month, and I wish we lived 3 miles apart instead of 3 hours...
So a lot has happened lately. I'm looking forward to a calmer year, but I know that there are seasons for everything.
